We all wonder Why are Some People more Creative, Innovative and Successful than Others? And Why are they able to Retain and Sustain their Success despite so many Challenges. Why can’t others be in their Shoes? We all seek answer to these questions but seldom find any answer to it. The simple reason is It doesn’t matter WHAT You do, It matters WHY You do it’. But If it would have been so easy for everybody to ‘Identify the WHY’, the World would have been a much better place and we all have been the most happiest souls.

Most of us Focus on WHAT we Do and HOW we do but when it comes to WHY we do, most of us have no answers.

The Reality is that our ‘WHY’ is the only driving force which Self-Motivates us at each moment. If that ‘WHY’ is Strong, We are Unstoppable and Limitless but if that ‘WHY’ is Weak, We are just beating about the bush. Every day, We fight a battle with all sorts of Distractions and Deviations.

But if our WHY is Powerful, Nothing is Unbeatable.

WHY Comes First, HOW and WHAT Automatically Follows.

That is what I have been experiencing each day. Since the day I donned the mantle of an Entrepreneur, it has not been an easy journey. It requires a lot of Hard Work and demands a lot of Patience and Perseverance. With a span of past 15 months, I had the opportunity to attend many learning events Nationally and Internationally and ‘Identifying My WHY’ has been the Prime Motivating Factor. What I have understood is that if the intent is Clear and Honest, this journey is the most Enriching and Rewarding in terms of What you Emerge as a Person, being able to Inspire Others. Life is a continuous learning process and an experience in itself. What I experienced is that inner quest for learning should never die and the burning flame for knowledge acquisition should always be kept high.

With those hopes, I became associated with L&D Global Pune Chapter and came across many wonderful people who are the torch bearers in the field of Learning and Development.

It has been an enriching and learning experience since the day I became a part of L&D Fraternity, organizing events and seminars along with them to redefine the value systems and learning methodologies.

Well, It was an Unusual Morning on Feb 25, 2018. I had a sleepless and disturbed night. I don’t know why?? Nothing was bothering me much, but it was due to a little hectic schedule going on for the last couple of days as I was neck deep in the preparations of my Upcoming Event ‘L&D Rendezvous’. I was supposed to Co-host this event with a very charming personality whom I personally admire a lot. I got up early in the wee hours of the morning and was thunderstruck by the untimely demise of a Diva who had kept the audience spellbound by her Magnetic aura for long 50 years.

With Grief and Sorrow in my heart, I prepared myself for the event, thinking that Life is unpredictable and uncertain. We are just puppets in the hands of Almighty. The only moment we can live is the Present Moment. I gathered myself and reached the Venue where my awesome team was gearing up for the event. Their enthusiasm and energy were magical and with that synergy, we began our event.

The Event started with a Powerful and Energetic Session by Mr. Narendra Barhate, addressing the esteemed audience on the theme “Entrepreneurship 2020”.

Mr. Barhate honestly shared his humble background and beginning with us. It was an immense pleasure listening to him how he had faced all the challenges and took the decision to be an Entrepreneur one fine day. His Commitment towards himself and his Vision reflected through each word he spoke. This is what is called Speaking from the Heart. His antidotes on the Entrepreneurship were amazing and he kept the audience wonderstruck with his own journey as an Entrepreneur. His session inspired me to share his most precious ‘Pearls of Wisdom’ with my fellow beings:-

  • All is Possible When the WHY of an Individual is very Clearand the Focus is only on Focus.
  • A sense of Contribution is a much more Powerful Drive than the Profit Motive. The urge to Survive and Succeed should be the Strongest.
  • For Sustenance, Every Organisation should have its Systems and Processes Well-Defined and Well-Integrated right at its Conception and Inception.
  • Manipulation and Exploitation can never yield Results in Long Term.
  • Every Business goes through Challenging Periods. Keep the Thinking Process Positive right at the Top of the Organisational Hierarchy, percolating to the people working at the Ground Level. Your Thought Process is Your Real Asset. The Rich the Thought Process is, The Richest would be its outcome.
  • Resourcefulness lies in the Mind and Soul, which needs to be Practiced leading to Greater Accomplishment.
  • The Secret to Outstanding Achievement is not Talent but a Special Blend of Passion and Persistence what he referred as GRIT.
  • He strongly emphasized on the Application of Neurosciences on individual’s Empowerment and Enrichment– the Neo-Cortex part of the Human Brain is responsible for Rational Thinking as well as Imagination and Creativity. And, Prefrontal cortex is the CEO of our Brain, which directs and controls our overall Brain.
  • We can make our CEO strong only through Meditation, Meditation and Meditation.
  • Decision helps us to Start and Discipline leads successfully to Finishing Line. There is no alternative other than being disciplined in life. It always fetches good result, if not sooner, then later. Being disciplined means doing things regularly and diligently in a Systematic Way.
  • Strong Emphasis on Learning through Various Platforms like Book Reading, Listening to Videos, Attending Meaningful Training Sessions all around the Life is Extremely Important. The Day, We stop Learning, we stop Growing.

The Technological Advancement in the last decade has impacted the Jobs adversely, led by Artificial Intelligence and Automation across the industries. What needs to be done is to seriously dwell on all other ways and means than jobs to secure a better future.

  • Responses rather than Reactions to any situation helps in moving forward.
  • A Proper Blend of Learning and Technological Advancement needs to be considered.
  • Synergogy– the new way of learning. It’s a Collaborative Learning and a Flip-Classroom Technique. Here, members of a small team learn collaboratively from one another through structured interactions.
  • Employee Retention and Leveraging needs focused attention.
  • Blended Learning Method is going to be the Role Model. We can only Survive, Succeed and Sustain as an Entrepreneur if we are able to provide the Solutions.

Entrepreneurship is not an Option but a Necessity in India.

Educational Institutions should take a leap of faith in Promoting Entrepreneurship instead of Preparing Pupils only for Jobs. The Fear of Failure is only imaginary, and the Failures should be celebrated as people don’t fail but the idea fails. We need to Worship the People who have failed as they had the Courage to take a step ahead and do something different.

After listening to him, I immediately co-related this session to the Life Story of the Legendary Actress whom we had lost. She started her career at a very young age and rose to the pinnacles of success through her Strong Grit, Courage, and Determination. Despite so many personal, professional and even language barriers, she ruled the roost of Indian Cinema for decades. It was Her Strong WHY that made her cross all the barriers and obstacles.

I happen to listen to another Versatile Lady Ms. Seema Raghunath. A lady with a Penchant for Brutal Honesty, calling a Spade a Spade. An independent Woman, A Ferocious Reader, and a Dotting Mother. Her Mantra for Success is Genuineness and the Ability to Comprehend and Compete with Oneself First.

Seema Raghunath, rightly emphasized that Natural Intelligence and the Originality are the only requisites for everlasting success in life. To be Successful in life, one needs to be Well Connected with the Roots, Well Read and Well Versed with the Subject for which the only Mantra is Continuous Reading and be the Master of it. In the Modern Age, we need to defend ourselves with a Global Perspective.

When you are Original, Transformation Happens!!!

While sharing her real-life experiences, She emphasized on getting back to the Basics of Indian Vedic Literature where the Entire Knowledge exists, which has been recognized across the Globe. So it’s the High Time, we need to Learn and Implement the Knowledge lying in our Vedas and Scriptures.

I end this Article with saying that Knowing Your WHY is the ONLY way to maintain a long-lasting success and have a greater Blend of Innovation and Flexibility.
