Learning and development (L&D) as we all know, is one of the core areas of Human Resource Management. It’s a methodical, organized and a systematic process to enhance an employee’s skills, knowledge, and competency, resulting in better performance in a work setting. Broken into specifics , learning is concerned with the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and attitudes and development is the broadening and deepening of knowledge in line with one’s development goals.
The goal of learning and development is to develop or change the behavior of individuals or groups for the better, sharing knowledge and insights that enable them to do their work better, or cultivate attitudes that help them perform better (Lievens, 2011).
With the current pandemic what are the changes it has brought, how can we address the changes in the environment of learning and development so as to benefit the population at large are a few things that what we are going to take a look at in this session.

Professional Background & Experience: Has had a journey of nearly 3 decades from being CTO of Siemens Shared Service to Member of Board and Executive Director of T-Systems India the SI arm of the German Telecom, later as Sr. Vice President Capgemini providing leadership to the North American Business Operations followed by played the role of India Head of SQS India. Has had the opportunity to be certified by Harvard Business School for Leader as a Coach program and certified for the Change Agent program of Siemens from MIT Sloan-Boston, Stanford, INSEAD-France and IIM India.

Area of expertise includes leading business units for e-learning content development. Have successfully addressed the latent requirements of e-learning content for various vertical domains and have forged relationships with fortune 500 companies and other global corporation including clients in India and deftly handled client relationships, managed large projects and proficient in business development.
